Teacher Talk: Burton visits Mater Christi!

January 3, 2018

The first grade class had a surprising treat for them when they walked into PE, snowboards!  They were brought through Burton’s indoor snowboarding program, “Burton Riglet Snowboarding“.  There were many different activities that Jeff Boliba brought from the Burton HQ, some of the activities were: half and full turns on balance boards, warm-ups with Olympic snowboarders, wobble boarding to work on their balance, towing boards that simulate real snowboarding, and the most popular event of the class, the obstacle course.  The obstacle course included weaving through turns, going over a slide board, picking up an object off the ground, and throwing a ball into a bucket, all while on their boards.
