Mater Christi School provides health services to every student staffed by a full time, Vermont licensed, registered nurse and provides students with health appraisal and supervision, health counseling, emergency and first aid care. We emphasize prevention and focus on wellness. We take all reasonable steps to control communicable diseases within the school. We make accommodations for students with medically documented life-threatening allergies or life-threatening dietary needs. We take reasonable precautions to minimize exposure to an identified allergen(s). We follow written policies, procedures, health screenings and a plan of activity in compliance with the Vermont Department of Health and the State of Vermont. Individual, computerized, cumulative health records are maintained on all students. Communication is welcomed with parents/guardians about school health issues and individual students health needs.
