Mater Christ School Holds 8th Grade Graduation

June 5, 2015

GraduationMater Christi School held its 53rd eighth grade graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 4. The evening began with a Mass, celebrated by Fr. David Theroux, SSE. The school band, directed by Mrs. Barb Heath, provided the music for the event. Graduation speaker was Mrs. Jean Rock who has been associated with Mater Christi School as a staff member for almost forty years; in addition, her children attended the school and now her grandchildren are part of the student body. Much to her surprise, the 8th graders had dedicated their Class of 2015 Memory Book to her. The students also expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Monica Lyman for creating the Memory Book for them.

8th grader, Tre Diemer, played an impressive original song on his guitar, the students all sang their class song, “C’est ma terrre” by Christopher Mae, and the ceremony ended with a Class of 2015 Video Reflection created by Mrs. Sarah Lavoie. All were thoroughly enjoyed.

A big thank you to the 7th grade parents for providing decorations, food and refreshments for the reception.
