Bulldog Robotics Unveils their 2019 FTC Competition Robot, MCS Rover

The 2019 FTC Regional Championship, Rover Ruckus, was held at Champlain Valley Union High School on Saturday, February 23.  Five members of the MCS Bulldog Robotics Club debuted the MCS Rover at the competition.  In addition to Bulldog Robotics, 31 local and regional high school teams presented robotic rovers to complete a series of tasks designed to mimic a mining operation on the moon. The MCS Rover was designed specifically to drop off the “field lander” under autonomous control, and climb into a “moon crater” under driver control.  The capability to move “minerals” into a base area was added at the competition.

The MCS Rover consistently performed a successful drop off the lander and Bulldog Robotics drivers were able to get the Rover into the crater in four out of five attempts.
