Mater Christi collected toiletries this week to donate to Joseph’s House. Joseph’s House is a community outreach program located in the Church of Immaculate Conception in downtown Burlington. People who have fallen on hard times come to Joseph’s House to receive comfort. Mater Christi School Wins at Mathematics State Fair

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, the Vermont Council of Teachers of Mathematics held their second statewide math fair at the University of Vermont. Students in grades K-12 from all over the state of Vermont presented their original projects for judging. MCS Bulldogs Robotics Visit The State House

On Friday, March 30, 2018 the Mater Christi Bulldogs Robotics Team visited the State House to participate in the “First Day at Vermont”. During this event, all Vermont First League Teams were invited to the Statehouse where they were honored and recognized by the Governor and legislators. News: Mater Christi School Science Fair

On February 20-22, Mater Christi School middle school students presented their science projects to a panel of esteemed judges including senior engineers from Global Foundries and IBM, UVM faculty members, and science instructors from Rice Memorial High School. Students developed research and inquiry-based science projects based on their interests. Students first researched their topic by finding similar experiments and relevant science concepts, then formed an hypothesis based on their research. […] Read more...

StarLab comes to Mater Christi School

Mater Christi School elementary students explored the constellations in the school’s gymnasium in a portable planetarium; StarLab, a program from the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, offers students a visual experience of the night skies, contained within a 22-foot inflatable dome. The program was sponsored by Mater Christi School’s PTO, and dovetails with the school’s commitment to science and technology through its curriculum and Makerspace program.
