Jenelle Dumas

Jenelle grew up in Mooers, New York before attending Eastern Michigan University where she earned a BA in Secondary Education with a concentration in English Language and Literature.  Her first teaching job was in Broward County Florida teaching 7th and 8th Grade English for four years at two schools, Plantation Middle School and William Dandy Middle School. Jenelle decided she wanted to pursue counseling and attended Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont earning her MA of Arts with a concentration in School Counseling.  She returned to Broward County Florida and worked at a day treatment center for girls named, PACE, as an academic advisor and Vocational Transition Counselor. Jenelle returned to New York in 2010 to be closer to family and began her Guidance Counseling position at Mater Christi. She feels blessed to be a part of the MCS community. In her spare time Jenelle enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets, she loves the outdoors especially fishing, biking, hiking, and gardening.
